Inflatable Dinghy
The crew were launched to multiple instances of inflatables being blown out to sea.
The lifeboat was initially called to an inflatable being blown out to sea off South Beach, but when the boat arrived on scene all inflatables were safe. They gave some safety advice to those on the water and then went to check on North beach where they were waved down by two youths who were in inflatable rings and were unable to get to shore, plus they were surrounded by jelly fish so were unable to get into the water to swim back. The lifeboat returned the two to the beach and offered safety advice regarding the direction of wind when using inflatables.
Once they left the beach they recovered two more inflatables which had been abandoned. As they were about to leave the area they noticed a person under the pier in an inflatable. It was quickly ascertained that the person was stuck and unable to make it ashore and it also transpired unable to swim. The casualty was taken back to the beach and the crews returned home
