I joined the crew at 16 in 1996 after wanting to be on the crew since I was 11. Became a full crew member in 1997 and made my way up to helm in 2011.
Since then I joined the international flood rescue team in 2005 and became a boat team leader a few years later. I also joined the national flood rescue team when it was formed a few years ago.
