I joined Aberystwyth Lifeboat because I wanted to give something back to the local community and spend my time on a worth while cause. I wanted to meet new people who are like minded and learn new skills and to be out on the water. I rang up the station and spoke to the manager I then was invited to come down to an information evening with other prospective recruits, I then had to perform some practical tasks in the water and have an interview after that I was then invited onto the training program to become a crew member.
