Early Friday morning search
Aberystwyth Lifeboat was tasked in the early hours of Friday morning to assist the Police with a search.
The Lifeboat conducted a shoreline search for the person and fired off three parachute illuminating flares to assist with visibility. After a brief search the police search was stood down and the lifeboat was told it could return to station. However with the tide dropping all the time the lifeboat had been out, there was little water to make a safe entrance back into the harbour so the Lifeboat remained at sea until it was safe. The Lifeboat returned to station at 06:30 in the morning.
