Arancia launched for suspected surfer in difficultly
Aberystwyth's Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB), the Arancia class was launched to reports that a surfer was in difficultly and was struggling against the tide.
On launching, the IRB liaised with the surfer who at that point was coming ashore; the surfer had been purposely training against the tide.
The service was a false alarm with good intent.
