Broken Down vessel

Lifeboat was requested to assist a broken down fishing boat off harbour entrance.

 

The fishing boat with 2 people on board was located aproximately 1/4 mile off the harbour entrance which had suffered mechanical failure.

 

The vessel was taken under tow, but due to the large swell of over 2m a drogue was fitted to the stern of the casualty to assist whilst entering the harbour. A child was transferred to the lifeboat before they entered harbour. The casualty was then tied up on its moorings.
