Once on scene, one of the casualty's was located approximately 20 metres up the cliff, stuck and unable to move, Coastguard helicopter Rescue 936 was tasked to assist. Lifeboat crew members went ashore to speak, check and ressure the casualties.
The Coastguard Search and Rescue teams then lowered a 'cliff man' to secure casualty and hold her fast, after which she was winched out by Rescue 936. The remaining three casualties were extracted from their cut off location by Borth ILB and safely landed on the main Clarach beach.
All assets were stood down after the successful rescue and returned to their respective stations, with Aberystwyth Lifeboat going straight out on a planned exercise.
