Search for fallen walker
The crew were tasked to search for a walker who had fallen on the cliff path near to Wallog, North of Aberystywth.
The Atlantic lifeboat was launched to assist in finding the possible cliff faller, and carried out a search between Clarach and Wallog. The Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter based at Caernarfon was also involved in the search along with the volunteer Aberystwyth and Borth Coastguard teams. The RNLI lifeboat from Borth was also tasked to search from the opposite direction. Whilst searching the casualty was located by the Coastguard at the top of cliffs on the coast path. She had suffered damage to her ankle and was unable to walk, the coastguard were able to get the casualty to a waiting ambulance whilst the lifeboat stood ready at the bottom of the cliffs. Once the casualty was safely in the Ambulance the boat returned to station.
