Aberystwyth Lifeboat pull two persons out of the waters
The lifeboat crew launched the Atlantic class lifeboat at 9:30am to reports of an empty boat circling in the bay with two persons in the water.
The volunteer crew arrived on scene – approximately 500 meters offshore – and quickly pulled the men into the safety of the lifeboat.
The volunteers immediately started first aid treatment on one of the casualties as they made their way back to shore. First aid treatment was continued on dry land by more crew until the Welsh Ambulance service teams arrived.
The coastguard rescue helicopter arrived on scene but it was decided to take both casualties to Bronglais hospital via road ambulance, where both casualties are receiving further treatment.
The RNLI volunteers then launched the arancia inshore rescue boat and, with assistance from the Coastguard helicopter, both lifeboats were able to gain control of the boat and bring it safely back to the marina.
