Launched to reports of ‘persons in the water’ and to recover two sailing dinghies

Aberystwyth Lifeboat was launched to assist the university’s sailing club’s safety boat as the Coastguard had reports of ‘persons in the water’ and to recover two sailing dinghies.

 

The lifeboat liaised with the safety boat and supplied them with lights and a VHF radio, leaving the safety boat to recover a ‘Laser 2’ dinghy. The Lifeboat then commenced a search for the missing ‘Pico’ dinghy; all were found and recovered to Aberystwyth harbour.
