Launched to two people cut off by the tide under Constitution Hill
Both Aberystwyth Lifeboat (Atlantic 85) and Aberystwyth Inshore Rescue Boat (Arancia IRB) launched to two people cut off by the tide under Constitution Hill. On arrival one person had already been taken to North beach by a kayaker (his father).
The Arancia IRB carefully steered into the bottom of the cliff and recovered the person; he was then transferred to the larger Atlantic 85 for recovery to the harbour. It was then realised that all the family of the rescued person and Coastguard personnel were on Aberystwyth North Beach, he was returned to the Arancia IRB to be landed on North beach to be reunited with his family.
